BlaCK-OuT

Kathrin got some awesome tickets to the U of U Black-out football game. She was SO nice and thought of me to join her! So on Thursday night, we bundled up, hopped on trax and headed over to the game.

When we got to the game, we ran into this really HOT guy and he was nice enough to let me take a picture with him =) What a hottie!
The game was the biggest emotional roller coaster, we started out happy as clams, even though they were down 7 when we arrived. We knew they could totally come back - so we had faith. . .

But seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into an hour. And after a lot more incomplete passes then we would like to admit, we were starting to get a little frustrated.

But don't you worry - They came through for us one again!!! They scored an AMAZING touchdown and we were back in the game with only 47 seconds left!!
And guess what kids: WE WON!!! Yippee! GO UTES!!

It was such an awesome game! I had so much fun! Thanks Aunt Kat for letting me be your date!!

Happy Birthday Erik Simon!!

Happy Birthday Simon!!
Today is Erik's 26th Birthday! Can you believe that?!? Old man!

Erik is amazing. He and I have always been super close. In High School, when I was a Sophomore and he was a Senior, Alicia Larson and I would hang out with him and "his crew" at lunch and Erik would give me piggy back rides to class. One day when he was getting ready to leave on his Mish - it was raining really hard outside so he, Tracie and I all went outside and sang and danced in the pouring rain! I loved it! And I love him!
Erik is such a hilarious guy, we love hanging out with him and Kami. He is smart, good looking, and funny. We are so lucky to have him as our brother/ bro-in law! (Oh! Cute!!)
Happy Birthday Simon!!! We love you!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Today is my Dad's birthday! My dad is wonderful. Point blank. Just a great guy! I know that he would do absolutely anything for anybody. He does so much for our family and I have never once heard him complain. And he only takes time for himself during hunting season =). He loves to go hunting - he has even taken me with him a few times! The last couple of years he has put Michael under his wing and taught him the ways of a mighty hunter =).
Anyway, I just wanted to take this little bit and tell him how much we love and appreciate him. I am so grateful to have such a great dad. He is a wonderful example to Michael and I - he is an amazing husband, father and hunting companion =).
We love you dad! Hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had a super fun Halloween this year. Even though it started with us having to go to work =). I went dressed as an Oompa Loompa - Michael's awesome idea. (When I asked him how he thought of that, he said "Well, you kind of look like one". Thanks babe! )
After work we headed over to Alan and April's house for some traditional chili dogs, to go trick-or treating with the kids and play with Alan and April.
Michael told the kids he dressed up as "Uncle Erik". Ha ha ha.

Audrey's costume won an award at their ward party, so cute!
Brayden was a Lion, and everytime he went to someone's house/trunk to treat he would roar. Michael kept on telling him to "say trick-or-treat" and Brayden's reply "We don't need to say that anymore". Oh, okay. =). Towards the end of Trick-or-treating Brayden handed me his bag and said "Can you trick-or-treat for me now?" Cute kid.

Victoria was a beautiful Island Princess. Everytime she got any candy she would say "I have so much candy! Millions of pieces!". Then when one house gave out Otter pops, she goes "They gave us melted Popsicles" ha ha ha.

Only about 20 minutes into Trick-or-treating Audrey fell asleep.

We really did have such a great Halloween. I love this Holiday. Thanks A & A for letting us tag along, I miss trick-or-treating, but it was even more fun just walking around with the kids and hearing all of the hilarious things that they would say! We hope you all had a fun Halloween too!

Make it Blog-worthy. . .

As Miranda was leaving work on Friday she said to me: "Make it a blog-worthy weekend" So we did just that =)
On Friday night we went to Alexandra and Brandon's house for a DELICIOUS meal, looking at great pictures and fun games (I want you to know that Yahtzee is my new favorite game). We always have fun hanging out with these guys. Thanks again for having us over!

Then on Saturday we went with cute Erik and Kami to the Pie Pizzeria then to the U for The Halloween Symphony. It was so much fun, everyone in the symphony was dressed up, and they did a great job playing all of the dark songs like the theme for Jaws and the Funeral song. It was a really great night, Erik and Kami are a great couple, and its always a blast to hang out with them.

Finally this weekend, we had Kevin and Jenna over to carve pumpkins and for dinner. I think they turned out pretty great? Don't you? We had fun scooping out all of the guts and carving our masterpieces! Kevin and Jenna are really talented pumpkin carvers, and we were so honored to have them carve in our kitchen =). Thanks guys, you guys are great! lol.

So what do you think? Blog-worthy weekend? I think we did pretty well. It was a very fun and eventful weekend!
